
Welcome to Europamundo! We’ll transfer you to the hotel and you’ll have some free time. In the afternoon, you’ll find information about the start of your tour on the boards located at the hotel reception.

Check-in: Please note that hotel check-in time is usually at 02:00 p.m. If you require earlier room availability, consider booking an additional night at the beginning of your trip.
Additional Nights: If you requested additional nights, your room will be ready upon arrival at the hotel, but your trip guide will only contact you when the included activities begin. At the reception, you will find an information board with our staff’s telephone number and hours of assistance. Until then, you have free time to enjoy at your leisure. The hotel staff can assist you with any information you need.
Optional Activities: During your trip, your guide may offer optional activities. If these activities are available on the Europamundo app or through your "My Trip" link, we strongly recommend booking them as early as possible to ensure availability. Waiting until the last minute may result in missed opportunities due to limited tickets, bus seats, or other factors.

Athens
Athens, city tour and evening transfer.
We´ll embark on a city tour guided by a local expert, covering prominent sites such as the Presidential Mansion, the Panathenaic Stadium where the first modern Olympic Games were held, the National Library, and the bustling squares of the city center. We´ll also explore the newer neighborhoods that developed after the 2004 Olympic Games. The tour will conclude at the Acropolis (admission not included).
In the evening, we´ll provide a transfer to the historical neighborhood of Plaka, renowned for its charming Greek tavernas and vibrant atmosphere where you can experience the rich folklore of this country.

Athens - Kamena Vourla - Kastraki - Meteora - Kalabaka
Total distance covered: 410 km.
Scenery: Sea views and fantastic landscapes of the Meteora and Orthodox monasteries.
Note: Wear appropriate clothing (women will be provided with skirts upon arrival at the monastery). Also, wear comfortable footwear as you will need to climb many steps!
08:00 a.m. Departure from Athens. We’ll head north and travel through pleasant Mediterranean landscapes.
10:15 a.m. Kamena Vourla. This charming seaside tourist center offers magnificent scenery. You´ll have time for a stroll and a coffee.
11:15 a.m. Departure from Kamena Vourla. Continuing through the Greek hinterland, we’ll make a brief stop at the mountain pass where the Battle of Thermopylae took place.
01:45 p.m. Kastraki. We´ll stop for lunch in this picturesque town at the foot of the Meteora, where the views are magnificent! After lunch, we´ll visit the Meteora, an impressive UNESCO World Heritage site with monasteries that seem to "hang" from the rocks. We´ll stop to visit one of the monasteries (admission included) and see the remaining ones perched atop immense rock formations.
Accommodation will be in Kalabaka, a small town in the center of the Meteora region. Dinner will be included.

Kalabaka - Delphi - Hosios Loukas - Athens

08:00 a.m. – Departure from Kalabaka. We’ll travel through Thessaly towards Central Greece, enjoying spectacular sea views, before reaching Delphi.
11:30 a.m. - Delphi. Admission included to the beautiful archaeological complex overlooking the Gulf of Corinth, a magical place. There will be time for lunch.
02:30 p.m. – Departure from Delphi. We’ll continue our journey amidst mountains with Mount Parnassus dominating the landscape.
03:15 p.m. - Hosios Loukas Monastery. Arrival at one of the most beautiful Byzantine monasteries in Greece, a World Heritage Site, with breathtaking 11th-century mosaics.
04:30 p.m. – Departure from Hosios Loukas.

Athens - Corinth Canal - Poros - Epidaurus - Nafplio
Total distance covered: 238 km
Scenery: Crossing the Peloponnese Peninsula, we enjoy views of the Aegean Sea, hills covered with olive groves, and charming small villages.
8:00 a.m. – Athens – Departure. We leave the Greek capital behind as we head toward the Peloponnese, a land of legends and unique natural settings.
9:15 a.m. – Corinth Canal – Arrival. Brief stop to admire this feat of engineering that connects the Aegean Sea with the Ionian. The narrow canal, with its towering rocky walls, impresses with its majesty.
9:30 a.m. – Corinth Canal – Departure. We travel along beautiful coastal scenery to the port of Galatas.
11:00 a.m. – Galatas – Arrival. From here, we take a short 15-minute ferry ride to the island of Poros.
11:30 a.m. – Poros – Arrival. This charming island delights visitors with its traditional houses climbing up to the Clock Tower and its lively Mediterranean atmosphere. Free time to stroll and have lunch.
2:00 p.m. – Poros – Departure. Return by ferry to the mainland to continue our journey.
3:15 p.m. – Epidaurus – Arrival. Visit to the famous theater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, magnificently preserved after 2,400 years. With a capacity of 14,000 spectators, it is still used today for performances thanks to its extraordinary acoustics. Admission included.
4:30 p.m. – Epidaurus – Departure. We travel toward the coast through hilly landscapes.
5:15 p.m. – Nafplio – Arrival. This historic city, dominated by Venetian fortresses, features a charming old town with cobblestone streets and lively squares. Free time to stroll and enjoy its maritime atmosphere. Dinner included.

Nafplio - Tripoli - Olympia - Patras

Scenery: Beautiful Mediterranean landscapes and mountain views from the Peloponnese hinterland.
Note: During the hottest summer months, we recommend using sunscreen and carrying a small bottle of water with you.
08:30 a.m. – Departure from Nafplio. We´ll journey across the mountains of the Peloponnese hinterland.
09:45 a.m. - Tripoli. We’ll stop in the capital of Arcadia. There´ll be free time to explore Areos Square with its cafes and restaurants.
10:45 a.m. – Departure from Tripoli.
12:45 p.m. – Olympia. There will be free time for lunch, followed by a guided tour of the Archaeological Site of Olympia (included). This site hosted the first Olympic Games in 776 BC, drawing athletes from all over Greece and its colonies. Key landmarks include the Temple of Zeus, the Stadium, the Gymnasium, and the Arena. After the guided tour, there will be additional free time to explore the museum at your leisure if you wish.
04:00 p.m. – Departure from Olympia. We’ll enjoy scenic mountain landscapes and pass through picturesque villages along the way.
06:00 p.m. - Patras. Arrival at Greece’s third-largest city, a bustling port city overlooked by a medieval fortress. It´s home to Greece´s largest cathedral, a significant pilgrimage site, as well as the nearby old church of St. Andrew. Dinner will be included.

Patras - Igoumenitsa - Brindisi
Total distance covered: 276 km.
Scenery: We’ll journey through the heart of Central Greece before taking a ferry across the Ionian Sea.
Notes:
-Please bring warm clothing to enjoy the deck during the ferry crossing.
-Don’t forget your passport; you’ll need it when crossing the border.
-Keep in mind that Italy is one hour behind Greece. For example, when it’s 12:00 p.m. in Greece, it’s 11:00 a.m. in Italy.
-On the journey from Greece to Italy, the bus won’t be traveling with us on the ferry, so you’ll need to carry your luggage with you.
08:00 a.m. - Departure from Patras. After breakfast, we’ll depart Patras via the Antirrio River bridge, a spectacular suspension bridge connecting the Peloponnese with the Greek mainland. We’ll travel through the regions of Central Greece and Epirus.
11:45 a.m. - Igoumenitsa. We’ll have time for a stroll in this port town.
01:30 p.m. – Transfer to the port to board the ferry (departure scheduled for 02:00 p.m.) that will take us across the Ionian Sea to Italy. Enjoy the scenery from the deck.
09:00 p.m. (local time, one hour behind Greece) – Brindisi – Arrival, transfer to the hotel, and accommodation.

Brindisi - Alberobello - Matera - Naples

Scenery: Today, we’ll explore two spectacular and authentic towns.
Note: Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, especially for Matera.
09:00 a.m. – Departure from Brindisi.
10:15 a.m. - Alberobello. Enjoy time to explore this charming town, famous for its unique conical-shaped houses known as trulli. These distinctive structures, with their stone-stacked roofs, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a remarkable example of Italian rural architecture.
11:15 a.m. – Departure from Alberobello. We’ll head into the Basilicata region.
01:00 p.m. - Matera. Arrival in this breathtaking city, renowned for its ancient historic center and the Sassi di Matera, a network of ancient dwellings and structures carved into the rock, dating back thousands of years. Matera is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest continuously inhabited human settlements in the world. You’ll have time to explore and enjoy an included lunch.
03:30 p.m. – Departure from Matera. We’ll continue through Basilicata and Campania, taking in the beautiful mountain landscapes.
07:00 p.m. - Naples. Arrival in the evening. We recommend taking a stroll through this impressive city.

Naples - Capri - Sorrento - Salerno
Total distance covered: 65 km, plus boat trip.
Scenery: Stunning landscapes in the Bay of Naples and Sorrento.
Notes: Part of this trip will be by boat, so we recommend bringing warm clothes. Don’t forget your camera in case you want to photograph the breathtaking views. Due to weather conditions, ships connecting Naples with Capri or Capri with Sorrento may not operate. In such cases, the route will be modified to arrive at Sorrento by highway and visit Amalfi instead of Capri.
09:30 a.m. - Departure from Naples by ferry. The boat trip will last approximately one hour, offering picturesque views.
10:40 a.m. – Arrival at the island of Capri. You´ll have free time to stroll and enjoy lunch on this jewel of the Tyrrhenian Sea, where nature, breathtaking views, glamour, and history come together in perfect harmony. We recommend taking the funicular up to the center of Capri to wander through the village’s elegant streets, lined with boutiques and charming terraces.
03:15 p.m. - We’ll take a ferry (schedules may vary) to Sorrento, enjoying beautiful scenery along the way.
04:00 p.m. - Sorrento. We’ll explore this charming and lively town perched on a cliff, with its port located in the lower area.
06:00 p.m. - Departure from Sorrento.
07:45 p.m. - Salerno. Arrival and accommodation. Would you like to take a stroll through this vibrant southern Italian city?

Salerno - Paola - Messina - Taormina

07:30 a.m. - Departure from Salerno. We’ll travel south through Italy, enjoying views of mountains and charming villages. Our route will take us along the picturesque coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
11:30 a.m. - Sanctuary of San Francesco di Paola. There will be time to explore this beautiful sanctuary set in stunning surroundings. Don’t miss the chance to visit the cave! Afterward, there will be free time for a stroll and lunch in the charming old town of Paola.
02:00 p.m. - Departure from Paola. We’ll continue to Villa San Giovanni, arriving around 4:30 p.m., where we’ll board a ship for a short 20-minute crossing to the island of Sicily.
05:30 p.m. - Messina. You’ll have time to explore the city center and enjoy your first experience on the island.
06:30 p.m. - Departure from Messina.
07:30 p.m. - Taormina. Arrival at our hotel. Dinner will be included.

After breakfast, we will head to Giardini Naxos, the first Greek settlement in Sicily (founded in 734 B.C.), with its pleasant seafront promenade and popular beaches.
10:30 a.m. – Giardini Naxos – Departure.
11:00 a.m. – Taormina. Free time to stroll through the beautiful city of Taormina, at the foot of Mount Etna, which Churchill once described as the most beautiful place on earth. Its lively old town invites exploration, and its Greek Theater offers unforgettable views.
1:00 p.m. – Taormina – Departure. We continue our route toward the center of the island.
3:30 p.m. – Roman Villa of Casale (admission included). Guided tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the Roman Empire, villas symbolized agricultural wealth. At Casale, not only has the 4th-century architectural layout been preserved, but thanks to their richness and quality, the mosaics decorating nearly every room are considered the finest of the Roman world.
5:00 p.m. – Villa Romana del Casale – Departure. We continue crossing the mountainous heart of the island.
7:30 p.m. – Palermo – Arrival at the end of the day. Dinner included.

09:00 a.m. – Today, we’ll embark on a guided city tour of Palermo with a local expert. Highlights include the cathedral, famous for its blend of architectural styles and royal tombs (admission included), and the Palazzo dei Normanni, a former royal palace with fountains, markets, and gardens. We’ll also visit Monreale to see its cathedral (admission included), a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its breathtaking golden mosaics that adorn the entire interior. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at your leisure.
Note: For smaller groups, the tour may be conducted as part of a regular excursion offered by local companies instead of a private tour.
