Viminacium – Roman military camp and the town was created in the first and lasted until the beginning of VII century. He was one of the major legion camps on the Danube. You will feel Roman atmosphere for sure! Go further to Golubac Fortress, 9 towers 14th century fortress perched high on the cliffs, overlooking the magnificent Djerdap George. Get ready for natural phenomenon! We are going to visit city of Donji Milanovac and archeological site Lepenski Vir. It is an important Mesolithic archaeological site which consists of one large settlement with around ten satellite villages. An entire Mesolithic culture was named after Lepenski Vir – a significant and unique prehistoric site. Settlements discovered on the location which was intensely inhabited from 6,300 – 5,500 BC belong to Mesolithic and Early Neolithic. Continue to Tekije, wher starts guarantee departure boat ride through Iron gate, where you will see Traian table, Decibel and enjoy in mighty Danube. Accommodation in Kladovo.

We continue exploring Serbian culture. We visited Gamzigrad, near the city of Zaječar, which was an imperial palace built by order of Galerius Maximian, Roman emperor. We will head to the unique resort Rajačke Pimnice, near the town of Negotin, where we will have a nice welcome lunch and tasting of original Serbian wine. Rajačke Pimnice is a unique architectural complex of wineries, 270 of them dating back to the middle of the 18th century. Continue to Niš, the city where the famous Roman emperor Constantine the Great was born. We will visit the Niš Fortress, located on the banks of the Nišava River; the Banovina Building; the Monument to the Liberators of Niš in King´s Square Milan; The Monument to the well-known Serbian writer Stevan Sremac; the Archaeological Site of Mediana, built at the beginning of the 4th century AD; the Torre de la Calavera, the unique monument in the world that was built after the Battle of Cegar; Tinkers Alley - the only preserved part of the old Niš shopping district. In Turkish times, this part of Niš was a craftsmen´s quarter, but today it is home to numerous restaurants and cafes. Accommodation.

After breakfast we will leave for the Manasija monastery, the center of Serbian culture and religion. Not far from the monastery is a wonder of nature, the beautiful Resava Cave. After visiting this extraordinary cave, we will proceed to have lunch next to the nearby Lisine waterfall (not included). After lunch we will return to Belgrade. Time to walk and accommodation.
