In ancient times, a small Roman fortress existed in this place. The city was first mentioned in historical documents in 1308 under the name Karom. Karom Fortress was built on the ruins of ancient Rome. Visit the Beekeeping Museum and the Živanović family winery with lunch and wine tasting. Continuation to Novi Sad, the capital of Vojvodina. "Vojvodina Trg Slobode" (Freedom Square) is the largest square in the city, built in the 18th century. In the center of the square is the Svetozar Miletic monument, cast in bronze. With the marble base it is seven meters high. On the west side of the square is the town hall, built in 1895 in the neo-Renaissance style. Visit of the Petrovaradin Fortress - "The Gibraltar of the Danube". From here back to Belgrade. Return to the hotel.

We continue exploring Serbian culture. We visited Gamzigrad, near the city of Zaječar, which was an imperial palace built by order of Galerius Maximian, Roman emperor. We will head to the unique resort Rajačke Pimnice, near the town of Negotin, where we will have a nice welcome lunch and tasting of original Serbian wine. Rajačke Pimnice is a unique architectural complex of wineries, 270 of them dating back to the middle of the 18th century. Continue to Niš, the city where the famous Roman emperor Constantine the Great was born. We will visit the Niš Fortress, located on the banks of the Nišava River; the Banovina Building; the Monument to the Liberators of Niš in King´s Square Milan; The Monument to the well-known Serbian writer Stevan Sremac; the Archaeological Site of Mediana, built at the beginning of the 4th century AD; the Torre de la Calavera, the unique monument in the world that was built after the Battle of Cegar; Tinkers Alley - the only preserved part of the old Niš shopping district. In Turkish times, this part of Niš was a craftsmen´s quarter, but today it is home to numerous restaurants and cafes. Accommodation.

After breakfast we will leave for the Manasija monastery, the center of Serbian culture and religion. Not far from the monastery is a wonder of nature, the beautiful Resava Cave. After visiting this extraordinary cave, we will proceed to have lunch next to the nearby Lisine waterfall (not included). After lunch we will return to Belgrade. Time to walk and accommodation.

Breakfast. Departure to the Ravanica church, which is called the birthplace of the new artistic movement "Moravian School" due to the architectural and artistic features. It is an original mix of Mount Athos and the five-dome cross square pattern that became standard in the days of King Milutin. Then, we will continue with the visit of Oplenac and Topola and listen to the wonderful story. On top of the Oplenac hill, Topola town, we will see the Oplenac - St. George church, founded by King Peter I of Yugoslavia, the royal mausoleum, the royal house of Karadjordjevic.
